"Bounty Wars" is a new show that will be premiering on the Discovery Channel, Sunday, July 8 at 10 PM ET/PT. This series features three California bounty teams hunting for bail jumpers. The bonus reward? A cool $10,000.00!
This should be a truly great show because the action is fast, with numerous detours and misfortunes, as well as surprising developments. Quick-thinking and quick action and unforeseen changes in luck speed the chase to its final surprising result.
The Teams
Team Aces get lost in an apartment maze, where there is danger around every corridor. But, it doesn't slow them down when it comes to getting "skips" off the street.
Team Midnight Runners don't always agree on how to follow the clues. But, that doesn't stop them from apprehending fugitives!
Team Santa Barbara appears to be on an amazing roll. It may look like they're having fun but don't be fooled ... they mean business when they knock in a door!
The Plot
Bail bonds companies are in deep trouble when the accused skip court and go on the run. To save their business and their reputation, they offer large sums of money for hunting down the fugitives to recover their cash.
These are actual competitors, and the stakes and stress are high. Time is of the essence. The longer it takes, the less the possibilities of identifying the fugitive.
Three bounty hunting teams from Bad Boys Bail Bonds are given five days to put a list of fugitives back in custody.
The hunting teams are sharp, they're smart, they're tough. Each team member can pick up clues better than a trained bloodhound. Meanwhile, the fugitives are fighting for their freedom...and are desperate, dangerous, and unpredictable.
The man-hunt begins Sunday, July 8 at 10PM ET/PT.
High Stakes
The more severe the crime, the greater the flight risk, the more difficult the chase, the sweeter the payoff! Bad Boys Bail Bonds president C. Jeffrey Stanley has guaranteed each accused will appear in court. If they don't show, he's out a lot of money! So, he is prepared to shell out an extra $10,000 bonus to the team that brings in the most fugitives with the highest bail amount totals.
The Bounty Hunters
Men as well as women from assorted backgrounds show up to accept the job. There's a former policeman, a former fashion model, a former Marine, and a former correctional police officer. There's also a part-time schoolteacher, a qualified bodyguard, and others. Each delivers their personal point of view, life skills, as well as exceptional techniques to the hunting.
The Bounty Hunting Group Leaders
The groups are led by unorthodox men-- Chris, Adrian, and Art. Each has their own approach. Each method is more out-of-the-box than the other. Brilliant or buffoonish, you decide.
The Fugitives
These operate the gamut. Some have actually made poor decisions in life. Others are hard-core criminals that have skipped bail previously.
Their crimes? Felony hit and run, concealed weapons charges, meth possession, prostitution, forgery, identity theft, robbery, child endangerment, driving violations, and possession of tear gas and that's just the first episode.
The Questions
Which team will bring in the greatest bounties? Which technique is smart, and also which dumb? Will the girls outfox the guys in their group? Will the guys outshine the gals? Absolutely nothing is predictable, and so it's an astonishing and thrilling race to the end each week.
