When the final stage is reached and it is time to submit your work to manuscript publishers, begin with a checklist to make sure all is in order. Make the work easily readable and neat. The rules differ when submitting to print publishers and electronic publishers. Read the guidelines of the publisher prior to any submissions.

With regard to the accepted fonts, traditionally Arial or Times New Roman were usually used. For newer markets Courier is preferred. New writers are fearful of copyright infringement. This fear should be eliminated. Once a publisher considers a work for publications, copyright subsists with the author.

Do not bind new manuscripts in any way. Rather use paper clips or rubber bands. This makes it easier if additional copies are required during the process of reviews. Stay away from double spacing or double siding any manuscript. Make sure it is one sided with printing.

Number every page with your title in the header and footer so dismantled pages can be reassembled. Make sure there is a title page included with your name and relevant contact information. On the top left write your contact information. In the top right corner write down the word count as estimated. Center the title with double spacing and your name. After three spaces the first chapter can begin.

All feel exhilarated with a great idea until you discover all the flaws in it. New writers are flaunted in dismay at formatting details. This is a sad situation, as the only focus should revolve on a good story. The main focus should be on characterization, pace, conflict, grammar and dialogue, etc. Formatting should form the least tension that arises during the creation of a new piece of work.

In order to get your work published, there is crucial need to undertake intense research. Discover the best pathways forward to get published.Once target readers are identified, the next pathway forward is exploring this market, then manuscript publishers can be approached to get the completed work published.
